"Milo Ventimiglia Is Pessimistic On A ‘Heroes’ Revival & Reveals Why He Won’t Audition For Batman In ‘The Brave & The Bold’"/ "‘Heroes’ Reboot In The Works From Series Creator Tim Kring"

Feb. 12, 2024 "Milo Ventimiglia Is Pessimistic On A ‘Heroes’ Revival & Reveals Why He Won’t Audition For Batman In ‘The Brave & The Bold’": Today I found this article by Armando Tinico on Deadline:

Milo Ventimiglia is opening up about the Heroes reboot and the possibility of a new revival.

The actor also revealed why he won’t be auditioning for the Batman role in The Brave and the Bold film that James Gunn is working on as part of the new DC Universe he is constructing alongside Peter Safran.

In a new interview, the This Is Us alum was pessimistic about the idea of bringing back Heroes, the 2006 Tim Kring-created superhero series that aired on NBC for four seasons.

“I feel like I’ve been trained to say ‘never say never.’

But I think when they tried to bring back Heroes

and reboot Heroes,

it was a bit of a soft landing,”

Ventimiglia said in an interview with ComicBook.

“I don’t think that one’s gonna be revisited again.”

Ventimiglia played the role of Peter Petrelli, a hospice nurse who can mimic other people’s abilities.

NBC rebooted the show in 2015 with Heroes Reborn, a 13-episode series in the same universe as the original series but with a whole new cast that included

Zachary Levi,

Ryan Guzman,

Jack Coleman,

Robbie Kay,

Danika Yarosh,

Kiki Sukezane,

among others.

The actor shared his thoughts on the reboot, saying,

“I think it’s just one of those things [that] I think they tried, and it didn’t quite go.

I feel like [Heroes Reborn] let the

story and circumstances be greater

than the characters.

And what I understand is that the audience really, really liked the characters from that first season of Heroes,

and it was less about these extraordinary circumstances and the world ending.”

Ventimiglia noted that the sequel series

“forgot about the human element

and the human experience”

with its storylines.

Talking to the same publication, Ventimiglia also revealed he wouldn’t attempt to land the role of Bruce Wayne. The actor had auditioned to be the Dark Knight at one point but Robert Pattinson ultimately landed the part.

“No because at this point, I’m probably too young,” he told ComicBook about not auditioning for the Batman role in Gunn’s The Brave and the Bold.

“That’s how it goes, man. When they say they want young Batman, they want some young. When they say they want old Batman, they want someone older.”

He continued,

“As an actor,

there’s always those roles where you see yourself.

There’s those characters you want to be think,

‘Man, I could do that,’ and you don’t get them.

You see another actor take it and do good work with it or do sh---. You kind of forget it.”

Although he wouldn’t audition for Batman now, Ventimiglia maintained optimism about technology making it possible for him to play the role at one point adding,

“Maybe I’m too young for Batman,

or maybe they’re just not right for me and that’s okay.

I think there could be a cool universe and with AI,

maybe there’s going to be a Milo playing Batman, who knows.”

Apr. 10, 2024 "‘Heroes’ Reboot In The Works From Series Creator Tim Kring": Today I found this article by Nellie Andreeva on Deadline:

EXCLUSIVE: Tim Kring‘s Heroes is eyeing a second encore with

Heroes: Eclipsed,

a new incarnation of the popular 2006 superhero drama series,

sources tell Deadline.

Appropriately, the project is being pitched to buyers now, the week of the solar eclipse.

(The original series started off with a solar eclipse in the pilot,

which became a recurring element throughout the series,

also reflected in its logo.)

Written by Kring, Heroes: Eclipsed is set years after the events of the original series

as new evos are being awakened

and discovering powers that will change their lives.

Featuring familiar villains

and new enemies

who once again will be attempting to suppress this next step in human evolution,

it will be up to this new group of heroes to save the world.

The premise evokes the 2015 limited series Heroes Reborn,

also created by Kring,

which also was set years after the events in the original series

and introduced a new group of evos as more ordinary people discovered that they possess unique abilities.

The new characters were joined by Heroes‘ Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman),

who led the followup,

with a number of original cast members making guest appearances,

including Sendhil Ramamurthy (Dr Mohinder Suresh),

Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura)

and Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman).

Heroes ran for four seasons after a red-hot start with a pop culture-defining

“Save the cheerleader, save the world” first chapter

that earned the show an Outstanding Drama Series Emmy nomination.

Both the original series

and limited series Heroes Reborn,

which drew softer ratings,

aired on NBC.

According to sources, the new Heroes incarnation, which is envisioned as an ongoing series, has been pitched to NBC along with streamers.

Kring is executive producing Heroes: Eclipsed with his manager,

Mosaic’s Jordan Cerf.

Universal Television, part of Universal Studio Group,

which is behind the Heroes franchise, is the studio.

A rep for Uni TV declined comment.

Kring is repped by WME and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.

My opinion: I loved the original Heroes and Heroes Reborn.  I'm looking forward to watching this.

It's Nov. 2026, and it seems like there's a very low chance there's going to be another reboot.

My week:

Wed. Nov. 4, 2026:

Nadine J, Vancouver, British Columbia, would like to know:

What do you usually wear on your feet at home?

Slippers

42.67% (1594)

Socks

29.04% (1085)

Nothing (barefoot)

19.99% (747)

Shoes

8.30% (310)

My opinion: Socks.  I wear socks even in the summer time.

Sat. Oct. 31, 2026 Halloween:

The trick-or-treaters:

1. My mom answered the door and she said one kid was wearing all black and didn't know what he was dressed as.

I opened the door for the others;

2. A kid dressed in all black, with this LED flashing colorful lights mask.  That was a cool mask.

3. A little girl dresses up as a black cat.

That was all.  The last few years, there were way more kids.  We gave out all 46 small bags of chips like 1 bag per kid.

It was probably because it was cold like -6 at night.

Wed. Nov. 4, 2026 The Community League Meeting: The snacks were corn chips and dip from a Halloween event.

There was like leftover Halloween candy.  There were small bags of gummies.

They gave out 65 bags to trick-or-treaters, and there were 10 leftovers.

I live a block away, and there were only 3 kids that came by.

Today I found this:

Oct. 26, 2026:

Only a few days left to shop our sale at Eternal Flame Candles in Edmonton City Centre! đŸ•¯️❤️
Thursday, October 29, will be my LAST day open, and Friday will be teardown day. Come say hello, grab your favourites, and stock up for the holidays while you can!
This isn’t me quitting—it’s me taking a little break and slowing down. I’ll still be making candles, and I can’t wait to see you at other venues along the way! ✨
Thank you to everyone who has supported my little business. So many of you have become like family, and I’m grateful for every purchase, visit, and conversation. ❤️ #yeg #edmonton #yyc #yegcandles #eternalflameyeg

My opinion: They will open a Shopify.

If I remember correctly, they opened in Jul. 2025.  I had low expectations that this store would be open for a long time, because they sold candles and other related products.

You have to sell a lot more variety of products.

Olly Fresco:

The restaurant closed down earlier this year at this location:

10030 107 St NW (South Tower / 7th Street Plaza), Edmonton, AB, T5J 3E4

There used to be one in City Centre mall, but during COVID- 19 it closed down like a lot of stores and restaurants in that mall.

https://www.ollyfrescos.ca/

My opinion: This location has been open for years.  I was kind of surprised it closed down.

Fri. Nov. 6 I helped a friend: I found this baker job ad and gave it to my co-worker and friend S.  She liked baking at home and was looking for a baker job.

The job started at 5AM, so I gave this to her because the bus for me to get there starts at 5AM.  I would get there by 6AM.

I start work early at 8AM.

"TV Series Finale: Thank You! Saying Goodbye After 21 Years"/ "2026-2027 Season Finale Dates: When Will Your Favorite Shows Be Ending?"

Oct. 16, 2026 "TV Series Finale: Thank You! Saying Goodbye After 21 Years":

TV shows don’t run forever and neither do websites.

After more than two decades, this is the end of the road for TVSeriesFinale.com. The site will remain online as a resource for the time being but there are no plans to update it.

As you know, television has changed a lot over the past couple of decades.

The economics of running a television website have also changed.

You may have noticed that many news-related sites have struggled and/or closed over the years and this one is no exception.

For this site, it’s mostly come down to a decline in ad revenue

and a steep drop of traffic from search engines (thanks AI generated answers).

It’s also become more and more difficult to access relevant ratings data.

It also hasn’t helped that some corporate sites have made deals to receive (EXCLUSIVE) access to press releases days ahead of independent sites like this one.

I’m certainly not complaining. This site has grown far bigger than I ever could have expected (57,000 posts!) when I started it in 2005.

At one point, it drew more traffic than Toyota’s site.

However, now that the 2025-26 TV season has come to a close, it feels like the right time to wrap things up.

Just one or two people have been running this website for almost all of its run. I want to publicly thank Regina Avalos for her daily devotion for the past 11 years.

Her hard work has been essential in keeping the site going and it has been very much appreciated.

Whether you are a newer reader or one who’s been along for the ride for decades, thanks for visiting.

It’s been a great run.

My opinion: I was kind of sad to read this.

I have been going here since 2020 to find out the ratings of the TV shows by typing:

"Lowest rated show on

ABC

CBS

FOX

NBC

CW

the TV season years"

I then know and can predict which TV shows are going to get cancelled and renewed.

Oct. 28, 2026 "2026-2027 Season Finale Dates: When Will Your Favorite Shows Be Ending?":

Today I found this article by Meredith Jacobs on TV Insider:

It may feel like the 2026-2027 broadcast season just started — because it did! — but already there has been at least one season finale, and we know the dates for several others.

Most of this year’s fall shows premiered in September and October, but with some having shorter seasons, a few are ending before the new year.

In fact, R.J. Decker Season 2 already aired its finale (October 27), since it was only seven episodes this year.

ABC has also already dated the Scrubs finale for December — which actually isn’t too surprising, given the network is putting The Rookie and its new spinoff, The Rookie: North, on Wednesdays beginning on January 6, 2027.

Plus, we know the finales for a couple of competition series, Dancing With the Stars and The Voice, though those are to be expected; those shows usually only air a season across half a year.

But there are also some shows that have shorter episode orders than previous seasons that we know will be ending before the usual April or May of the broadcast year.

For example, NCIS: Origins Season 3 will only be 10 episodes (and the fourth just aired), while Fire Country Season 5 consists of 13 (with the fourth on October 30). But CBS has yet to set midseason finale or premiere dates, so we don’t know quite yet when those season-enders might fall.

Read on for all the season — and possible series for some, as networks plan their 2027-2028 schedules — finale dates we know across the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC), and bookmark this page because it will be updated as more are announced.

Tuesday, October 27

10:00 p.m.: R.J. Decker (Season 2 Finale)(ABC)

Tuesday, November 24

8:00 p.m.: Dancing With the Stars (Season 35 Finale)(ABC)

Wednesday, December 9

8:00 p.m.: Scrubs (Season 2 Finale)(ABC)

Monday, December 14

9:00 p.m.: The Voice (Season 30 Finale)(NBC)

https://www.tvinsider.com/1300336/tv-season-finale-dates-2027/

My opinion: I was checking on RJ Decker, and I didn't know there were only 7 episodes in the 2nd season.

The first season did come out earlier this year in Mar. 2026, and there were 9 episodes.

I think it's kind of weird each season has an uneven number of episodes.

However, if you put both seasons together that came out this year, it's an even number of 16 episodes.
